Hello, I have been looking for the Green Party in Manhattan and found your site. Do you know of any members or meetings in Upper Manhattan. I live in Inwood and had some contact with John Breden who hosts Salons in Hoboken New Jersey now. Please let me know if there are any events for Northern Manhattan. Thank you.

To the people of Liberty Plaza.
Your occuption of this plaza in the financial capital of then U.S., the Wall Street district, has brought the struggle for democracy and economic justice in this country to a new and hopeful level. Following the example of the occupation of Tahrir Square in Cairo, and the uprisings in the Middle East and Europe, you have connected the economic crisis in the U.S. to the worldwide crisis in capitalism. Many are realizing that the corporate two party system cannot solve the economic or environmental crisis. Many are realizing that capitalism and corporations are antithetical to democratic and ecological progress. Your protests are spreading throughout the country just as protests are spreading throughout Europe and the MidEast as you call for a society that serves the interests of the 99% over the 1%.
